Do you take my insurance?
In an effort to provide the most effective and individualized care to patients, we are out-of-network with all health plans. This no insurance model allows us to provide a full hour of one-on-one care to each patient. It gives us the freedom to do what is best for each patient rather than what insurance dictates we must do in order to keep getting coverage.
If you have out-of-network benefits, a copy of your bill (called a superbill) will be provided to you upon request that you can, at your discretion, submit to your health plan for reimbursement for the services your health plan covers.* By reaching out to your insurance provider directly, they should be able to give you instructions for your specific plan on how to submit for reimbursement.
*This applies to commercial health plans only. Medicare clients are not eligible to submit a bill for out-of-network benefits.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Payment is expected at time of service. Forms of payment accepted include Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, UnionPay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Payments from HSA, HRA, and FSA accounts are also accepted for medically necessary services.
Do I need a referral from a physician?
In the state of Georgia, you can be seen by a physical therapist for 8 visits or 21 days (whichever comes first) without a referral from a physician. Once either of these qualifiers is met, you must then obtain a physician referral. To prevent any gaps in coverage, at OutRun we ask that you acquire this referral prior to being seen, which is generally easy to obtain.
Do you perform dry needling?
Dry needling can be a useful tool for targeting myofascial trigger points, though it is invasive and must be performed by a licensed physical therapist. There are many other ways physical therapists target trigger points, reduce pain, and improve range of motion which are non-invasive that patients can learn to do at home. At OutRun, our goal is to empower patients to take charge of their recovery by giving them the tools they need to manage their symptoms and prevent future injury on their own. For this reason, we choose to utilize these other non-invasive methods at our disposal to accomplish the same goal.
Should a patient want dry needling, or should a case arise where dry needling is indicated, we will help you find a physical therapist who can perform these services for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a time slot that could have been filled by another patient in need of our help. As such, we ask that all patients give 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be assessed a $50 late cancellation/no show penalty fee to the card on file. We reserve the right to waive this policy at our sole discretion.
What should I wear?
First and foremost, you should wear something you are comfortable in that does not restrict your movement. Athletic clothing such as shorts, leggings, or joggers and a t-shirt or tank top is recommended. If you are coming in for a running related injury, please wear either shorts or leggings so we can accurately assess your lower extremity movement. If you are wearing loose fitting shorts, please be mindful that you are wearing appropriate undergarments.
Where do I park?
