How to Prepare
Complete the online intake and consent forms
Once you book an appointment, you should receive our online intake and consent forms via email. These forms take about 15-20 minutes to complete, so it is important that you fill them out prior to your arrival to ensure we get the entire 55 minutes together. If you are having trouble finding the email, click below to access your patient portal.
What To Do When You Arrive
The front door remains locked, so only gym members have access. In most cases Dr. Melissa will be waiting for you in the lobby to let you in. If when you arrive she is still working with another patient, simply text 'Here' to (404) 594-4995 and she will come let you in.
You may place your belongings in one of the lockers to keep them secure.
What To Expect At Your First Visit
55 minutes of direct, one-on-one care
During your first session, you and Dr. Melissa will get to know each other, discuss your symptoms, and review your medical history so she can gain a clear understanding of what has led you to seek out physical therapy services. Based on this discussion, together you will set clear goals for what you want to accomplish during your time at OutRun. Next, Dr. Melissa will perform a movement screen and running analysis to identify any strength or mobility impairments affecting your movements. Lastly, we will review the findings of the movement screen and work together to create a recovery plan and treatment schedule individualized just for you.
Our Treatment Model
OutRun’s treatment model focuses on finding the root cause, training the whole runner, and guiding people back to the performance and lifestyle they want. Each plan starts with a deep look at movement, strength, running mechanics, and training habits, then blends biomechanics, strength work, and evidence-based rehab into a clear plan that fits real life. With hands-on care, smart load progression, and targeted gait coaching, athletes restore pain-free motion, build lasting strength, and return to running with confidence. The result is a collaborative, performance-driven experience that helps runners and active adults stay injury-free long term.
Frequently Asked Questions

Not necessarily. This will depend on your individual health plan's co-pays and deductible. Generally, however, patients are seen less frequently in an out-of-network setting compared to a traditional PT setting since our sessions are one-on-one.
Payment is expected at time of service.
Accepted forms of payment include Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, UnionPay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Payments from HSA, HRA, and FSA accounts are also accepted for medically necessary services.
In Georgia, you can be seen by a physical therapist without a physician referral for 8 visits or 21 days, whichever comes first. Once one of these qualifiers is met, we will require that you obtain a physician referral for physical therapy.
We offer validated parking in the West Court Square garage.
Enter 140 Swanton Way into your GPS. It will look like you are driving into the MARTA bus station, but this is correct. Pull into the garage through either lane by taking a ticket. As you pull in, note the building entrance is to your right, though you can park anywhere in the garage. Follow the signs to Clarity Fitness until you reach the big blue front door.
*During the day, you can walk through the two sets of glass doors. After hours, you will have to walk around the perimeter of the building.
First and foremost, you should wear something you are comfortable in that does not restrict your movement. Athletic clothing such as a t-shirt or tank top with shorts, leggings, or joggers is recommended.
Make sure you bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and feel free to use the water fountain to refill if needed.
If you are coming in for a running related injury, bring your running shoes with you as well.
